What’s involved in company setup? Submitting for incorporation should only take you a few minutes, and Delaware will confirm your registration within a few business days. We then walk you through company formation, including adopting bylaws, electing your board of directors, authorizing stock issuances, and passing the First Action of the Board.
Why Incorporate as a Delaware C-Corporation? Angel investors and VCs will require you to be a Delaware C-Corp before investing in your company. All legal agreements, accounting, and tax rules are built for this incorporation type. If you plan on issuing equity, hiring employees, and having a successful exit, it is much cheaper to incorporate the right way from day one.

Why an accrual-based accounting setup? Investors and partners all prefer this method as it more accurately reflects your business, and you’ll always be ready for quick due diligence and fundraising without adapting your books. Expenses are reported when the expense occurs, not when the expense is paid—this results in income statements that more accurately reflect company profitability.
Are there additional fees? Included in Gust Launch is an accrual-based accounting setup with monthly transaction coding, standard financial statements, email support, and integration with one bank and one credit card account. How can I issue stock through Gust Equity Management? Your stock documents will be built directly into Gust Equity Management to make issuance as simple as a few clicks. Any new stock grant will automatically generate paperwork that can be electronically signed by the stock recipient and yourself from within the platform.
